STAT OF THE WEEK
Temper, Temper . . .
Jason Kendall has been ejected from a game 4 times in his professional career, twice for charging the mound (once charging Joe Kennedy and once charging John Lackey). His other two ejections were for altercations in Tampa Bay and in 1998 for getting tied up with Gary Sheffield (who can blame him!).

FACT OF THE WEEK
The grounds rules for Miller Park provide a batted ball which hits the roof, roof truss, or roof cable in fair territory is fair if it comes back down and lands in fair territory. If a fielder catches the ball after it strikes the roof, the batter is out.
If a batted ball hits the roof in foul territory it is foul regardless of where it lands.
